Hemorrhoids Treatment

Hemorrhoids, commonly known as piles, are swollen and inflamed veins in the rectum and anus that can cause discomfort and bleeding during bowel movements.

Common Symptoms

  • Bleeding during or after passing stools
  • Pain or discomfort in the anal region
  • Itching or irritation around the anus
  • Swelling or a palpable lump
  • Mucus discharge in some cases

Risk Factors

  • Chronic constipation or straining
  • Low-fiber diet and inadequate water intake
  • Prolonged sitting, especially on the toilet
  • Pregnancy
  • Obesity and sedentary lifestyle
  • Family history

Hemorrhoids are generally classified into internal and external types, and severity ranges from mild irritation to prolapse and persistent bleeding. Early evaluation helps prevent complications and ensures effective treatment.

Laser Hemorrhoidectomy

Laser hemorrhoidectomy is an advanced, minimally invasive surgical technique used to treat symptomatic or advanced hemorrhoids. The procedure utilizes precise laser energy to shrink or remove hemorrhoidal tissue while simultaneously sealing blood vessels, resulting in reduced bleeding and tissue trauma.

Our 980nm / 1470nm wavelength diode laser system is specifically designed for ano-rectal procedures. With up to 15 Watts power output and radial, conical and bare fiber compatibility, it provides surgeons with the precision and versatility needed for optimal patient outcomes.

What is PPH?

The PPH (Procedure for Prolapse and Hemorrhoids) stapler technique is a minimally invasive surgical approach that removes hemorrhoidal tissue with a circular stapling device. Compared to conventional hemorrhoidectomy, PPH results in significantly less post-operative pain, faster recovery, and fewer complications. The procedure uses a 33mm circular staple head for precise tissue resection.

Key Advantages

  • Minimal pain and bleeding
  • No large incisions or stitches
  • Short procedure time (usually 20–30 minutes)
  • Day-care treatment with same-day discharge
  • Faster healing and early return to normal activities
  • Lower risk of infection and recurrence
  • Improved patient comfort and cosmetic outcome

Procedure & Recovery

  • Performed under local, spinal, or short general anesthesia depending on the case
  • Patients are usually discharged the same day
  • Mild discomfort or swelling may occur for a few days
  • Normal routine can typically be resumed within 2–5 days
  • High-fiber diet and adequate hydration are advised post-procedure

Laser hemorrhoid surgery is considered a safe and effective modern alternative to conventional open surgery, offering excellent results with minimal downtime when performed by an experienced proctology surgeon.
